"Broquet" DIY Project

This past Friday, my brother in-law turned 21. As his birthday kept getting closer, I knew exactly what I wanted to do for him. I decided I'd make him a "broquet" from Clete and I. I had seen several of these on Pinterest, all with different themes. I decided to do one with 21 mini bottles of liquor since it was for his 21st.  It was a hit, and everyone that saw it thought it was cool! It was perfect for the occasion! (I even already have a request in to make another for another 21st birthday next month!)

Want to make one? Here's what you need, and what to do...

supplies

  • 21 mini liquor bottles of your choice (I did a variety.)
  • craft rods
  • a bucket, or something to hold the broquet
  • styrofoam ball or block
  • hot glue gun
  • any stickers or other decor you might want to put on bucket (Happy Birthday, Happy Congrats, etc.)
  • cellophane wrap
  • ribbon for bow
  • blow dryer (optional)
directions

  1. decorate bucket to your liking.
  2. place styrofoam in bucket, cut to fit if needed.
  3. cut craft rods to appropriate length.
  4. hot clue craft rods to mini liquor bottles.
  5. once dry, place rods attached to liquor bottles in the styrofoam and arrange to your liking.
  6. once all bottles are placed, wrap cellophane around the arrangement.
  7. with a blow dryer, shrink cellophane to fit tight.
  8. tie bow at the top to complete.
