Green Smoothie

What's your go to breakfast? For some people, breakfast is the hardest meal of the day to get in. Breakfast used to be really difficult for me, but now I'm a smoothie girl.  My go to breakfast is a smoothie. It's an easy and quick breakfast I can consume while getting ready, or even on my drive to work. I have a variety of different flavors I make, but this particular recipe is one of my favorites.  It is not only really tasty, but it's super filling and packed with protein, fiber, and veggies. Yes, I said veggies! Don't knock it until you try it, because everyone I know that has given it a taste test has liked it too.

ingredients.
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup almond milk (I used unsweetened vanilla, only 30 calories)
  • 1 small banana
  • 1 tablespoon all natural peanut butter
  • 1 scoop/serving protein powder (vanilla or chocolate)
directions.
  1. Combine protein powder and almond milk in blender, mix.
  2. Add spinach, banana and peanut butter, blending until smooth.

  1. Sounds great :) I got out of the smoothie habit now that it is so cold here but this will be one I keep for future.
