Jamaican Vacation- Part 2

Wednesday morning we slept in a little, and then spent the whole day at the beach. We played bingo late that afternoon, where Clete won a bottle of rum! That evening we had dinner at the gourmet restaurant, Sir John. It was pretty tasty, especially the dessert crepes. Wednesday was a very chill day, but very nice & relaxing for us.

Wednesday night and early Thursday morning a big thunderstorm came through. I woke up once in the middle of the night and thought the tropical storm had come, but luckily I was wrong. We slept in Thursday until about 8:30AM, and it was still raining. We laid around in our room for a while, and then headed down to breakfast about 10AM. After breakfast, we decided we were going to go into the town of Ocho Rios to do a little shopping. We ventured down that way about 1PM and got back to the resort around 4PM.

We spent the rest of the afternoon and early evening taking in our last hours at the beach until next time we gp. We soaked up the sun and watched the sunset down by the water.

We had dinner at the Asian restaurant our last night, which was Clete's favorite meal from this vacation. After dinner, we went and watched the Jama Around the World show put on by our resort entertainment staff and had one last walk on the beach before calling it a night.

Friday morning we woke up and had breakfast before it was time to catch our shuttle back to the airport.

We spent all day Friday traveling home to Oklahoma. Once we arrived in Atlanta, we had a tight squeeze because our layover was only 1 hour but luckily after getting through customs and security we were able to run (literally) to our gate and catch our flight home to OKC.

We had a wonderful vacation! It was great to get away from the real world for a few days, and just relax. It was a great time, and we're already talking about where we want to go next year! It is always great to get away, but it's also nice to come back home and sleep in your own bed. Now, it's back to reality... until next time.
